Downtown Plan Coming Soon

Madison County 4-H Fair.  For decades families of Alexandria have considered the 4-H Fair just part of life in Alexandria.  

“Small Town USA” Festival.  Transplanting an annual event ‘Sidewalk Days’ from downtown to Beulah Park during a year long redevelopment of ‘Harrison Street’ launch the festival to an entirely new level.

Over the past 15 years the festival has created a loyal following of festival seekers and vendors alike.  

Downtown Strawberry Social and Car Show.  To bring focus back to the downtown a local community group Alexandria Community Vision initiated an annual Strawberry Social.  Combining efforts with “The Lighthouse Cafe”, sponsor of a car show proved beneficial to both groups.
